arc software package provides Archive utility based on the MSDOS ARC program, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install arc
arc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the arc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep arc *
You will get with arc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
